Business of Death

OK. This may seem like quite the morbid blog that some people may not enjoy, but death is a fact of life and we should talk about it a little more from time to time. Sorry in advance!

So the business of death… In any country it’s going to work out to be pretty pricey to bury anyone and it’s not like it can be avoided. Someone has to pay one way or another unfortunately, it’s kind of a sad fact and for many people quite a worrying one. What if you couldn’t afford to bury a loved one and you couldn’t give them the send off they desired, that would totally suck!

Anyway as the video above explains, your average burial procedure is pricey and not good for the environment and I don’t know about everyone else but us environmentally aware lot wouldn’t want to leave that kind of impression on the earth! I wouldn’t mind being buried in a eco coffin or turned into 250 pencils, I’d have them donated to a new school in Africa. That would be pretty cool and could help 250 children get a better education.

Well I just wanted to point out that every corner of our lives, we could be making massive differences to the system we live in again it’s capitalism getting deeply involved and thriving on death and I’m all up for people making lives and having a job but £6,000 for a funeral not including a plot is a little steep not to mention the environmental implications.

I certainly think the business of death has it’s roll to play with environmental responsibility if it is going to stay that way! If anyone else has ideas or know how they want to be put to rest, comment below!

When I die turn me into 250 pencils and donate them to a new school in Africa!
